Orange Pineapple Punch

maya-oryan-img_0461Hello beautiful people! Is it summer where you are? I spent my day running from one air-conditioned room to the other, trying to avoid the heat and humidity.

My kiddos spent the day at the pool with the cousins swimming and playing in the sun all afternoon, when they got back I couldn’t but surprise them with this cool refreshing orange pineapple punch.

Add some vodka inside and turn it into an adult party-wide hit punch!!

Decorate with strawberry slices and orange wedges, and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 parts orange juice
  • 2 parts pineapple juice
  • ½ part lime juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 parts 7up or Sprite
  • Fresh strawberries and orange wedges, to decorate.

Preparation

Combine well the orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice and honey in a pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness.

Add 7up or Sprite, right before serving and garnish with fresh fruits and paper straw.

P.S Substitute the sprite with rum or vodka for an adults party version

Banoffee MilkShake

My baby girl is also a foodie and loves playing “restaurant” insisting on serving me real food that she can prepare alone. A Banoffee Shake is a gem on Kaia’s list, because she knows I love bananas and (almost) doesn’t require any of my assistance to make it.

It’s simple, sweet and refreshing! Cheers:)

Good old-fashioned strawberry milkshake

After a long day at work, shooting an advertisement for a fruit-flavored yoghurt brand, I brought home a huge load of left over fruits, including a rather big amount of strawberries. While taking a look at this excessive batch of strawberries, my mind immediately started a screening of all the possible recipes I have stored inside it. The result: 1 ITEM FOUND. Strawberry Smoothie!

It was then thought that who could deserve a better drink than this one after a tiring day of running around the set and standing in the kitchen for hours!

A Strawberry Smoothie can be made from strawberries only. I’d like to add to it a cup of skimmed milk and a banana. If the strawberries are not sweet enough on their own, I usually add a dash of honey. My daughter Kaia prefers it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of the milk with no banana.

Refreshing!
